The daffodils and forsythia are nearing the end of their beautiful (and very happy) flowering. The peaches and almonds are also waning. Our lilacs are just waking up and pushing out those lovely purple and supremely fragrant blossoms. Tom turkeys are now cruising the fields and the grass needs to be mowed. Spring must be close.

To add to the excitement of spring, we received some much-needed rain over these past 3 weeks. The recent rains have taken us from pure desperation to a simple need for a little more water. The reservoirs are starting to fill up, bit by bit, and we should have access to water for most of the irrigation season.

It’s shaping up to be a good year.
